Approving and authorizing acceptance of the Metropolitan Council Local Housing Incentives Account Grant for the Como by the Lake project, and amending the 2017 Budget.
Body
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has awarded a $100,000 grant to the City of Saint Paul under its Local Housing Incentives Account to the Como by the Lake affordable housing project located in the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota (the “Grant”); and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does hereby certify that $100,000 in funds are available for appropriation in excess of those estimated in the 2017 budget and recommends the changes to the 2017 budget identified on the attached Financial Analysis; and
WHEREAS, after a public hearing, the City Council hereby finds a public purpose for the actions taken in this Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Saint Paul accepts the Grant and approves the changes identified on the attached Financial Analysis to the 2017 budget.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby authorizes and directs city staff to take all actions necessary to implement this Resolution and further authorizes the Director of the Department of Planning and Economic Development to execute all documents needed in connection herewith.
