Title

Authorizing the Fire Department to enter into a hazardous materials emergency response contract with the State of Minnesota Department of Public Safety for the time period of October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2022.

 

Body

WHEREAS,  Minn. Stat. Section 471.59 permits two or more governmental units to jointly exercise any power common to the parties by agreement entered into through the action of their governing bodies; and

 

WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has requested and the Saint Paul Fire Department is willing to provide hazardous materials emergency response services; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute the attached  hazardous materials emergency response contract with the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety. A copy of said agreement is to be kept on file and of record in the Fire Department.
