Approving acceptance of funds from St. Paul RiverCentre Convention & Visitors Authority in the amount of $5,000, and Visit Saint Paul in the amount of $5,000, for a total of $10,000, and amending the financing and spending plan for the Department of Parks and Recreation for the Great River Passage River Balcony project.

WHEREAS, St. Paul RiverCentre Convention & Visitors Authority has committed $5,000 for the schematic design of the Great River Passage River Balcony project; and
WHEREAS, Visit Saint Paul has committed $5,000 for the schematic design of the Great River Passage River Balcony project; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Department of Parks and Recreation to amend the financing and spending budget for the Great River Passage River Balcony project; and
WHEREAS, the City Council accepts and thanks St. Paul RiverCentre Convention & Visitors Authority and Visit Saint Paul for their generous funding; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $10,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2017 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Committee, that $10,000 is available for
appropriation in the 2017 Capital Improvement Budget, and said budget, as heretofore adopted by Council, are hereby further amended as outlined in the attached Financial Analysis.
