WHEREAS, in 2008 the City authorized a lease agreement with the Saint Paul Intervention Project on behalf of the Partnership for Domestic Abuse Services/Bridges to Safety Program ("PDAS/BTS"), to create a comprehensive, centrally located domestic abuse service center in the city of Saint Paul where victims, including children, have access to protection, culturally relevant services and support from the criminal and civil justice system, advocacy, legal aid and social services providers; and

WHEREAS, the City is committed to continuing its support of the work of the PDAS/BTS by renewing said lease agreement, but prior to renewal the City and County mutually desire to amend the CH/CH Agreement, which currently prohibits either City or County from subleasing any part of its exclusive areas to non-governmental entities, so that the City's lease renewal will not be in conflict with the CH/CH Agreement; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby approves the amendment to the CH/CH Agreement, and authorizes the proper city officials to execute an "Amendment No. 1 to Agreement" in a form and content substantially as set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto.
