Amending the use of grant funds through the Neighborhood STAR Year-Round program for Historic Saint Paul.
Body
WHEREAS, on September 9, 2015, the Neighborhood STAR Board reviewed a Neighborhood STAR Year-Round grant request from Historic Saint Paul to assist with exterior improvements to Joe and Stan’s Sports Lounge & Grill; and
WHEREAS, the Neighborhood STAR Board rated this project a 4.30 on a scale from 1 (low) to 5 (high); and
WHEREAS, on October 28, 2015, Resolution #15-1842 approved a $10,000 grant for this project; and
WHEREAS, on October 11, 2017 the Neighborhood STAR Board reviewed a request from Historic Saint Paul to waive the match requirement on their 2015 Joe and Stan’s Sports Lounge & Grill exterior improvement project; and
WHEREAS, due to the community significance of this project, a waiver of STAR Guidelines regarding the required minimum dollar for dollar match is being recommended; Now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby authorizes and directs the appropriate City officials to implement this Resolution, subject to approval by the City Attorney; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, staff of the Department of Planning and Economic Development are further authorized and directed to proceed with all other actions necessary to implement this Resolution.
