Honoring Russell Klein and Desta Maree Klein on the 10th Anniversary of the opening of Meritage.

WHEREAS Russell Klein and Desta Maree Klein held their wedding reception at 410 Saint Peter Street in 2007 and felt it was the perfect place to pursue their dream of opening a restaurant; and
WHEREAS Russell Klein has offered fine seasonal French-influenced fare that is predominantly locally sourced and available; and
WHEREAS Desta Maree Klein has been the vision for the wine program and setting a standard for service and strong financial management; and WHEREAS Meritage has a timeless atmosphere for guests, whether it is on their Terrace in the Summer or within their dining room in the Winter; and WHEREAS Chef Klein and Meritage have earned numerous accolades from local, regional and national press; and WHEREAS Meritage has lived up to their hopes of being a restaurant that welcomes all people, and all occasions, and has provided fine French dining to Saint Paulites and others for ten years; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Saint Paul congratulates Meritage and the Kleins on their 10th anniversary and thanks them for their commitment to the future of Saint Paul.
