Title
Approving acceptance of funds from Ramsey County in the amount of $100,000, the Saint Paul Parks Conservancy in the amount of $100,000, and license fees in the amount of $24,360, for a total of $224,360; and amending the financing and spending plan for the Department of Parks and Recreation for the Sepak Takraw (Kato) court projects at Duluth and Case and Marydale Parks.

Body

WHEREAS, Ramsey County has committed $100,000 for the construction of Sepak Takraw (Kato) courts at Duluth and Case and Marydale Parks; and

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Parks Conservancy is in the process of raising $100,000 for the construction of Sepak Takraw (Kato) courts at Duluth and Case and Marydale Parks; and

WHEREAS, Parks has realized license fees of $24,360 that are available for use on this project; and

WHEREAS, said funding has been specifically designated for the Sepak Takraw (Kato) court project; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation seeks approval to accept this generous funding and express its gratitude to Ramsey County and the Saint Paul Parks Conservancy; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Department of Parks and Recreation to establish a financing and spending budget for the Sepak Takraw court project; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $224,360 in excess of those estimated in the 2017 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Committee, that $224,360 is available for appropriation in the 2017 Capital Improvement Budget, and said budget, as heretofore adopted by Council, are hereby further amended as outlined in the attached Financial Analysis.
