Expressing the Council’s desire to hold an event to celebrate twelve years of Saint Paul’s growth, and designating Visit Saint Paul as an entity to solicit funds for the event.
Body
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to celebrate the last twelve years of growth in the City of Saint Paul by hosting an event (the “Event”); and
WHEREAS, the Council wants to seek donations in order to pay the costs for the Event; and
WHEREAS, the Council would like the Saint Paul RiverCentre Convention and Visitors Authority (d/b/a “Visit Saint Paul”) to be its designee to raise funds for and plan the Event;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council designates Visit Saint Paul as an entity authorized to raise funds on behalf of the City in order to host an Event to celebrate twelve years of St. Paul’s growth; and be it
ALSO RESOLVED, that Visit Saint Paul will oversee the planning of the Event.
