Title
Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $250,000 for a contribution received from the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education to pay for training and equipment for the Minnesota Aviation Rescue Team and helicopter training with the Minnesota State Patrol.
Body
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education (MBFTE) has awarded a contribution of $250,000 for the Fire Department to pay for training and equipment for the Minnesota Aviation Rescue Team (MART) and helicopter training with the Minnesota State Patrol; and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of this contribution will be used to pay for training and equipment for the MART team; and
WHEREAS, the City Council accepts this contribution from the MBFTE and thanks them for the generous gift; and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the contribution received; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $250,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2017 budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, that $250,000 is available for appropriation in the 2017 Budget, and said budget, as heretofore adopted by Council, is hereby amended as outlined in the attached Financial Analysis.
