Approving adverse action against the Taxicab Driver license held by Steven Joseph Asmussen.

WHEREAS, the Taxicab Driver license held by Steven Joseph Asmussen (License ID# 20040004155) for the City of Saint Paul was the subject of a Notice of Intent to Revoke License (“Notice”) dated September 28, 2017, and
WHEREAS, the Notice stating that during a routine check of the licensee’s driving record as part of the license renewal process, it was discovered his MN Driver’s License had been suspended for thirty (30) days from May 23, 2017 to June 22, 2017 due to four (4) moving violations within twelve (12) months in violation of Saint Paul Legislative Code § 376.15 (e) (4) (c); and
WHEREAS, his MN Driver’s license was suspended for another thirty (30) days from June 15, 2017 to July 14, 2017 due to five (5) moving violations within twenty-four (24) months in violation of Saint Paul Legislative Code § 376.15 (e) (4) (c); and
WHEREAS, the licensee failed to notify the Department of Safety and Inspections of the license suspensions and issuance of a Limited License in violation of Saint Paul Legislative Code § 376.15 (k) (1) and (2); and
WHEREAS, per Saint Paul Legislative Codes § 376.15 (k) (5) the licensing office recommended license revocation; and
WHEREAS, the licensee did not respond to the Notice of Intent to Revoke License to request either a public or administrative hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Revoke License stated that if the licensee failed to request either a public or administrative hearing by October 9, 2017, that the matter would be placed on the consent agenda to impose the recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, the Taxicab Driver license held by Steven Joseph Asmussen (License ID# 20040004155) for the City of Saint Paul is hereby revoked.
