Accepting a scholarship for conference registration and up to $1,000 in travel expenses, from the Urban Land Institute, for city staff Jamie Radel to attend the Fall National Meeting from October 22 through October 26, 2016.

WHEREAS, city staff, Jamie Radel, will attend the Urban Land Institute Fall National Meeting in Los Angeles, CA from October 22 through October 26, 2016; and
WHEREAS, the Urban Land Institute is willing to provide a scholarship to the City for the conference registration cost for City staff and travel expenses anticipated not to exceed $1,000; now
THEREFORE, be it resolved, that the City Council authorizes the Department of Planning and Economic Development to accept this scholarship and enter into agreement with the Urban Land Institute for the cost of registration and associated travel for the Fall National Meeting; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the City Council determines this to have public purpose and the Council extends its thanks and appreciation to the Urban Land Institute for its generous assistance for continuing education.
