Title

Amending the financing and spending plans in the Department of Emergency Management in the amount of $180,000 for the 2015 State Homeland Security Grant.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Department of Emergency Management applied for and received a grant of $180,000 from the State of Minnesota for the 2015 State Homeland Security Grant to purchase a bomb response vehicle for the Police Department; and

 

WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the grant received; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $180,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2017 budget; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the following additions be made to the 2017 budget:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts this grant, and hereby approves the changes to the 2017 budget referenced in this resolution, and furthermore authorizes the appropriate city officials to execute and implement the attached grant agreement for the 2015 State Homeland Security Grant.
