Resolution Authorizing Acceptance of a Grant from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as a Sub Grantee of the Minnesota Home Ownership Center (MNHOC) for Funding for Administrative Costs for Counselors for the Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program. (Citywide)

WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota (HRA) is eligible to receive from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as a Sub Grantee of the Minnesota Home Ownership Center (MNHOC) grant funding to provide foreclosure counseling services and related outreach and administrative support for counselors for the Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program; and
WHEREAS, HRA staff is recommending approval of this grant;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the HRA Board of Commissioners takes the following action:
1. Approves and authorizes the acceptance of a grant in the sum of $14,500.00 from HUD as a Sub Grantee of MNHOC to provide services under the Comprehensive Counseling and Mortgage Modification Assistance for the contract period October 1, 2016 to December 31, 2017.
2. Authorizes the HRA Executive Director or designee to finalize financing terms, conditions and other provisions for HRA to receive this grant.
3. Authorizes the HRA Executive Director to execute all agreements, documents and instruments needed to implement this Resolution.
