Accepting the donation of travel expenses, transportation, lodging, and meals from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), for Chief Todd Axtell to attend an educational seminar in Israel for U.S. law enforcement executives from September 9 to 17, 2017.

WHEREAS, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has invited Chief Todd Axtell to participate in an upcoming educational seminar in Israel for U.S. law enforcement executives, along with more than a dozen other U.S. police executives; and
WHEREAS, this seminar will take place September 9 to 17, 2017; and
WHEREAS, the ADL has offered to pay costs of travel, transportation, meals, and accommodations; and
WHEREAS, since 2004, the ADL has facilitated 14 educational seminars in Israel for 200 U.S. law enforcement executives; and
WHEREAS, the seminar will focus on preventing and responding to mass incidents and attacks, leadership, and balancing the fight against crime and terrorism; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby accepts the gift of travel expenses, transportation, lodging, and meals for Chief Todd Axtell to attend an educational seminar in Israel for U.S. law enforcement executives, and thanks the Anti-Defamation League for its generous gift.
