Appeal of Yia Thao, on behalf of Chongkue Yang, to a Vacant Building Registration Notice at 1661 IDAHO AVENUE EAST.

 

Date/Time of 1st LH:  Tuesday, July 18, 2017, 2:30 p.m.

Purpose of Appeal:  Owner received Code Enforcement Correction Notice and was in the process of making correction but city inspector came out and registered building as vacant.  Owner was in the process of cleaning out the house to put it on the market for sale.  Condition of the house is fine and there's nothing wrong.

Body

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Yia Thao, on behalf of Chongkue Yang, to a Vacant Building Registration Notice at 1661 IDAHO AVENUE EAST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant the appeal on the Vacant Building status on condition that the Fire Certificate of Occupancy is reinstated by August 18, 2017; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
