Proclaiming Saturday, July 15, 2017 as Planting People Growing Justice Day in the City of Saint Paul.

Whereas, an innovative grassroots advocacy organization for planting seeds of positive social change, Planting People Growing Justice has devoted itself to changing the world starting in the Saint Paul community; and
Whereas, through intentional programming, Planting People Growing Justice has promoted cultural awareness, leadership, learning and literacy capacity building for all and motivated people throughout St. Paul and beyond to look within, and actualize the leader in them; and
Whereas, youth learn ways to positively impact the communities around them, use what is in their hands to make a difference and redefine leadership; and
Whereas, Planting People Growing Justice celebrates local educators and students that are committed to learning; and
Whereas, Planting People Growing Justice is committed to fostering our strengths of community building and diversity by calling all to action; and
Therefore, be it resolved, that the members of the Saint Paul Council, proclaim July 15, 2017 to be Planting People Growing Justice Day in the City of St. Paul.
