Making finding on the appealed nuisance abatement ordered for 880 ROSE AVENUE EAST in Council File RLH SAO 16-57.

WHEREAS, the City Council adopted RLH SAO 16-57 on January 4, 2017 which granted extensions for the following:
1) 75% of the storage on the roof of the garage addition is removed in by February 1;
2) the balance of the items on the roof should be removed by March 1;
3) illegal exerior storage on the ground should be deceased by 50% by April 1, beginning with the storage under the garage addition;
4) the balance of the illegally stored exterior items should be removed by May 1;
5) as a condtion of the extensions, a building inspection of the the garage should occur by June 1 in order to ensure its long-term structural stability to abate the nuisance conditions at 880 Rose Avenue East; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer reviewed this case on May 30, 2017 to determine if the owner and/or responsible party abated the nuisance conditions and found these conditions were not abated; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council adopts the finding of the legislative hearing officer that the nuisance condition is not abated and therefore authorizes the Department of Safety and Inspections to proceed with this nuisance abatement.
