Title

Establishing a project and budget in the Department of Public Works for the development and creation of a Comprehensive Citywide Pedestrian Plan. 

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works proposes to develop of a Citywide Pedestrian Plan which will include the analysis, prioritization and implementation strategy of various pedestrian infrastructure improvements throughout the city, and

 

WHEREAS, Public Works has received a $50,000 grant from the Ramsey County Public Health SHIP Program to help fund the development of the pedestrian plan, and

 

WHEREAS, Public Works proposes to use the remaining funds in the 8-80 program of $51,731 as a match to the Ramsey County SHIP funds making a total pedestrian plan development budget of $101,731, and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $50,000 in the Capital Improvement Budgets; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.4 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for transfer of appropriation, funds of $51,731 in the Capital Improvement Budgets; so

 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $50,000 new appropriation is available and $51,731 is available for transfer in the Capital Improvement Budgets, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the Improvement Budgets in the following particulars:
