Authorizing the Fire Department to enter into a joint powers agreement amendment with the State of Minnesota - State Patrol Division for helicopter operation training.

WHEREAS, the Fire Department received $250,000 from the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education (MBFTE) to provide training and equipment for the Minnesota Aviation Rescue Team (MART); and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department will reimburse the Minnesota State Patrol for their costs relating to helicopter operation training and pilot time; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute a joint powers agreement amendment with the State of Minnesota - State Patrol Division for helicopter operation training and pilot time; a copy of said agreement is to be kept on file and of record in the Fire Department.
