Authorizing an increase in 2017 spending authority for the Department of Parks and Recreation, Parks Environmental Grants budget, by $16,000 to fulfill a grant agreement with the Capitol Region Watershed District.

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking spending authority to fulfill an agreement with Capitol Region Watershed District; and
WHEREAS, Capitol Region Watershed Districthas committed $16,000 in grant funds to the City of Saint Paul to engage youth from low-income families in the sPARK water quality education program in regional parks and engage current non-park users of regional parks in the Parks Ambassadors program to address barriers to park use; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, in accordance with Section 10.07.1 of the City Charter, certifies that there are revenues available for appropriation totaling $16,000 in excess of the revenue estimated in the 2017 budget; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul approves the amendments to the 2017 budget shown on the attachment.
