Title
Approving the re-conveyance to the State of Minnesota of two Use Deed Parcels adjacent to 1400 and 1407 Marshall Avenue, and their purchase by the Department of Public Works.

Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul ("City"), by the Ramsey County Recorder's Office document No. A04617483 (State Deed No. 0212389) and document No. A04617484 (State Deed No.0212390), both dated July 20, 2016, acquired Conveyance of Forfeited Lands use deeds for two parcels of land adjacent to 1400 Marshall Avenue (PIN: 03-28-23-21-0077) and 1407 Marshall Avenue (PIN: 34-29-23-34-0008) (the "Use Deed Parcels"), as indicated in said documents attached hereto as Exhibit A; and

WHEREAS, the Use Deed Parcels were acquired by the Department of Public Works exclusively for right-of-way purposes; and

WHEREAS, the City wishes to reconvey the Use Deed Parcels under Minnesota Statutes, Section 282.01, Subdivision 1d, to the State of Minnesota, to be held in trust according to Minnesota Statutes, Section 281.25, so that the Use Deed Parcels may be purchased by the Department of Public Works for right-of-way purposes; and

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, acting through its Real Estate Manager, has secured an agreement for the purchase of the Use Deed Parcels; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works requests that the proper City officials purchase the Use Deed Parcels from the State of Minnesota via the Ramsey County Tax Forfeited Lands Division, the value of said properties being $10,800.00, plus filing fees of $512.72 and re-conveyance costs of $155.40, as outlined in the reports attached hereto as Exhibit B; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council do hereby authorize the proper City officials to: proceed with the re-conveyance and purchase of the Use Deed Parcels for the stated purchase price and associated costs of Eleven Thousand Four Hundred Sixty-Eight and 12/100 Dollars ($11,468.12), payable to Ramsey County; execute an application of re-conveyance...
