Title

Pertaining to a Lease with Killmer Electric Co., Inc. providing for the use of Board-owned property addressed as 1772 Sylvan Street North as a construction office during the McCarrons Water Treatment Plant electrical upgrade project.

 

 

Body

WHEREAS, on August 15, 2016, a contract for a major electrical upgrade to the McCarrons Water Treatment Plant was awarded to Killmer Electric Co., Inc., which intends to begin construction in March, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Killmer Electric Co., Inc. is required to provide an on-site construction office for the duration of the installation phase of the project; and

 

WHEREAS, to satisfy that requirement, Killmer Electric Co., Inc. requested the use of the Board-owned house and property addressed as 1772 Sylvan Street North, Maplewood, Minnesota 55117, which is situated adjacent to McCarrons Water Treatment Plant; and

 

WHEREAS, with the assistance of City of Saint Paul Real Estate Department, staff prepared a month-to-month lease to provide for said use at a rent of $1,200.00 per month, with all utilities and related expenses to be paid by Killmer Electric Co., Inc.; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the lease between the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul and Killmer Electric Co., Inc. providing for the use of buildings and property at 1772 Sylvan Street North, Maplewood, Minnesota 55117 as a construction office for the McCarrons Water Treatment Plant electrical upgrade is hereby approved in substantially the form submitted, and that the proper officers are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Site Lease Agreement on behalf of the Board follow approval of the assistant city attorney.
