Authorizing the Police Department to accept the donation of a speed trailer and display signs from the Saint Paul Public Schools.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department has received a donation of a speed trailer and two speed display signs from the Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS); and
WHEREAS, this trailer has not been used by SPPS for a number of years and will be used in the department’s Traffic Unit, and
WHEREAS, the trailer and signs have an estimated value of $3,000; and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of this donation is to provide equipment to assist in the department’s safety message; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the council accepts this donation, and extends its sincere thanks to the Saint Paul Public Schools.
