Approving a Special Law enacted by the Minnesota State Legislature during the 2016 regular session allowing the City to issue an On-Sale Liquor License for services at the Major League Soccer Stadium.

WHEREAS, during the 2016 regular session of the Minnesota Legislature, the State of Minnesota enacted 2016 Minn. Laws, Chapter 189, Article 4, Section 19, which allows the City to issue an on-sale liquor license for services at the Major League Soccer Stadium; and
WHEREAS, the Special Law requires the City of Saint Paul to comply in a timely manner with Minnesota Statutes Section 645.021, which requires approval by resolution of a majority vote of all members of the governing body or unit; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, the Special Law pursuant to the provisions contained herein, is in all things adopted and approved; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the City Clerk, as the chief clerical officer of the City of Saint Paul, shall file with the Secretary of State, in a form prescribed by the Attorney General, a certificate stating the essential facts necessary to the adoption and approval of this law in compliance with Minnesota Statutes Section 645.021, Subdivision 3.
