Amending the financing and spending plans in the Police Department in the amount of $100,000 for to more accurately record expenditures.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department (SPPD) was granted the 2015 Port Security grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, through its Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), (RES PH 15-364); and
WHEREAS, this grant provides funds to directly support the city’s maritime transportation infrastructure security activities and will enhance the capabilities and communication of the existing video surveillance platform; and
WHEREAS, the 2016 financing and spending plan needs to be amended for these funds to more accurately record expenditures; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $100,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2016 budget and recommends the changes as follows; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves the extension of the grant and these changes to the 2016 budget.
