Authorizing the Police Department to accept two grants from the Target Corporation totaling $7,000 and to amend the 2016 activity budget for these funds.
Body
WHEREAS, the Police Department was awarded two grants from Target Corporation totaling $7,000; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds will fund training for two officers in the Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Video Association class and equipment for the Special Investigations unit ; and
WHEREAS, the 2016 financing and spending plan needs to be amended for these funds; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $7,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2016 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that the following addition be made to the 2016 budget:
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that council accepts this grant and authorizes Assistant Chief Kathleen Wuorinen to implement the plan as outlined in the attached application; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council authorizes changes to the grant budget as specified in the attached financial analysis.
