Appeals of Robert Mandile to a Notice of Condemnation as Unfit for Human Habitation and Order to Vacate, Summary Abatement Order, and Vehicle Abatement Order at 1627 MARSHALL AVENUE.

Purpose of Appeal: I am appealing the condemnation notice, the order to vacate, the summary abatement order to clean up the yard, and the vehicle abatement order to tow away two of my vehicles. I am requesting an appeal because we just moved into this house and are in the process of fixing the items that need attention. We have only been in the house for 2-3 weeks and are both in school. We have been moving all the other stuff from the house out, which is why there was trash on the porch and in the back yard. Since we just moved into the house, we have not had much time to fix the areas of the house that need attention. However, we plan to do all the repairs that are needed and have all the materials and resources to complete what needs to be done. We have just been trying to get all of the items and other belongings out of the house so that the work could be done more easily. I am willing to do whatever it takes to restore the house and make it beautiful again as soon as possible. Please give us more time to complete the required actions.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeals of Robert Mandile to a Notice of Condemnation as Unfit for Human Habitation and Order to Vacate, Summary Abatement Order, and Vehicle Abatement Order at 1627 MARSHALL AVENUE[title of this legislative file], the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant to noon Thursday November 3, 2016 for tenants to vacate the property; the property will be transferred to Vacant Building Program and a code compliance inspection is required; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
