Approving the petition from Jeff Otto to approve the installation and special assessment of a fire protection system for the property located at 391 Topping Street.
Body
WHEREAS, the City Council has received and fully considered the attached petition from Jeff Otto of Otto Packaging Midwest, LLC to:
a) Approve the installation of a fire protection system, estimated to cost $350,500.00, for the
property located at 391 Topping Street, and
b) Authorize financing of the improvement by special assessment; and
WHEREAS, said petition meets the requirements of Chapter 429 of the Minnesota Statutes and the city policy on assessing costs for fire protection systems, as adopted in Council File numbers 88-481 and 97-67; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council does hereby approve said petition and authorize the installation of the above-described improvement, to be financed by special assessment in accordance with city fire protection system requirements and procedures; and be it further
RESOLVED, that upon completion of said improvement, the proper city officials shall calculate all expenses incurred therein and shall report the same to the City Council in accordance with Chapter 429 of the Minnesota Statutes and the fire protection system policy.
