Authorization to Convey 157 Front Avenue to Adjacent Property Owner Diane J. Schultz, North End District 6, Ward 5.
Body
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota (“HRA”) owns the property at 157 Front Avenue which is adjacent to 163 Front Avenue that is owned by Diane Schultz; and
WHEREAS, Diane Schultz is interested in acquiring 157 Front Avenue that is legally described as follows:
The East 40 feet of Lots 8, 9 and 10, Block 43, Auerbach and Hand’s Addition to St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota (“Property”); and
WHEREAS, upon conveyance of the Property to Diane Schultz, the Property and 163 Front Avenue will be combined into one tax parcel; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the HRA Disposition Policy, notice of the conveyance was posted for 45 days and no competing proposals were submitted; and
WHEREAS, after publication of the notice of sale, a public hearing was held on the sale and conveyance of the Property, and the HRA Board finds a public purpose for the actions taken in this Resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the conveyance of the Property to Diane Schultz is approved on the terms set forth in the staff report, and that a Deed of Conveyance is authorized by the Board of Commissioners to be executed on its behalf by the Chairperson or his or her designated Commissioner of the HRA.
2. The HRA Executive Director, legal counsel, and staff are authorized and directed to take all actions needed to implement this Resolution.
