Comments: This assessment includes 9 buildings each having a FC of O fee of 259.00. The addresses are: 62 Wood St, 64 Wood St, 63 Delos St E, 389 Robert St S, 393 Robert St S, 44 Wood St, 33 Delos St E, 46 Wood St, and 49 Delos St E.  5 of the buildings were no entry on the initial inspection and have an additional 72.00 on their bills, totalling 360.00. These no entry penalty fees cannot be assessed, and reduces the amount sent to assessments from 2691.00 to 2331.00. By not paying the FC of O bills, but adding the assessment fees, there is a savings of 205.00.

WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with Fire Certificate of Occupancy fees billed during April 12 to May 6, 2016. (File No. CRT1701, Assessment No. 178200) and the assessment roll including all properties for which these assessments are proposed for Council ratification; and


WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an appeal of this assessment and developed a recommendation for the City Council with respect to this assessment; and


WHEREAS, a public hearing having been conducted for the above improvement, and said assessment having been further considered by the Council and having been considered financially satisfactory; Now, Therefore, Be It


RESOLVED, that pursuant to Chapter 14 of the Saint Paul City Charter, said assessment is hereby ratified and payable in one installment.
