Resolution Authorizing Acceptance of a Home Ownership Education, Counseling, and Training Fund Grant from the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for the Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program. (Citywide)

WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota (HRA) has been offered from the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency funding for administrative costs for counselors for the Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the HRA Board of Commissioners takes the following action:
1. Authorizes the acceptance of a grant amount not to exceed $25,000.00 to operate a comprehensive counseling for homeowners from MHFA to provide services under the Home Ownership Education and Training (HECAT) Fund for the program year 2016-2017.
2. Authorizes the HRA Executive Director or his designee to finalize financing terms, conditions and other provisions for HRA to participate in the Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program activities.
