Accepting the gift of travel and lodging expenses from the University of Michigan and the George Gund Foundation for Anne Hunt to attend the Great Lakes Climate Adaptation Network Meeting.

WHEREAS, Anne Hunt, Environmental Policy Director, has been invited to attend the Great Lakes Climate Adaptation Network meeting to be held in Ann Arbor, Michigan, October 5-7, 2016; and
WHEREAS, Anne Hunt will share the City’s climate resiliency planning and collaborations with community partners to reduce greenhouse gases; and
WHEREAS, the University of Michigan and the George Gund Foundation have offered to pay up to $800 towards the cost of her travel, food and lodging expenses; and
WHEREAS, attendance at the meeting will not only share the work being done in Saint Paul on sustainability but will offer an opportunity to learn from other communities; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts the offer of reimbursement of travel, food and lodging expenses up to $800 for Anne Hunt to attend the meeting and thanks the University of Michigan and the George Gund Foundation for its generous gift.
