Accepting the gift of airfare and lodging for Wes Saunders-Pearce, Water Resource Coordinator, to attend the MetroLab Network’s Water and Green Infrastructure Lab Workshop.

WHEREAS, Saint Paul is a member city of the national MetroLab Network; and
WHEREAS, the MetroLab Network will host a workshop October 20-21, 2016 for member cities and partners at Georgetown University in Washington, DC; and
WHEREAS, the workshop will focus on technology and data approaches across the country for water systems and stormwater management; and
WHEREAS, the Metrolab Network will pay travel and hotel expenses, up to $1000, for one attendee from each MetroLab Network member city; and,
WHEREAS, the City believes that having City staff attend the workshop will be beneficial by equipping Saint Paul with the ideas and tools to advance innovative ideas and practices; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby accepts the gift of airfare and lodging for the Water and Green Infrastructure Lab Workshop and thanks MetroLab Network for its generous gift.
