Comments: CAT 2 VB since December 18, 2015. On February 17, 2016, Council passed resolution RLH VBR 16-2 to waive the vacant building registration fee for 90-days and allowing that a "building-only" inspection be conducted allowing the building official to determine whether a complete code compliance inspection is necessary. On May 4, 2016, Mr. Seeger determined that a complete Code Compliance Inspection is needed. Owner failed to apply for a full compliance inspection. Registration Letter sent on 12/21/15- returned mail on 1/5/16; Warning Letter sent 1/20/16; Another warning letter sent 5/18/16 and returned mail on 5/24/16.

WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with Collection of Vacant Building Registration fees billed during September 10 to December 31, 2015. (File No. VB1614, Assessment No. 168821) and the assessment roll including all properties for which these assessments are proposed for Council ratification; and

WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an appeal of this assessment and developed a recommendation for the City Council with respect to this assessment; and

WHEREAS, a public hearing having been conducted for the above improvement, and said assessment having been further considered by the Council and having been considered financially satisfactory; Now, Therefore, Be It
