Adopting the North End District 6 Plan as an amendment to the Saint Paul Comprehensive Plan.
Body
WHEREAS, the North End-South Como District 6 Plan was adopted by the City Council on April 18, 2012; and
WHEREAS, on January 1, 2014, the District 6 boundary was changed (City Council Resolution 13-460); and
WHEREAS, District 6 amended its plan to be consistent with the new district council boundaries and undertook general maintenance of its plan; and
WHEREAS, District 6 also integrated recommendations from the 2015 District 6 Natural Resource Inventory Report into the North End District 6 Plan; and
WHEREAS, the North End District 6 Plan was reviewed by affected City departments for consistency with City policies as well as the City's adopted Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, following a duly noticed public hearing conducted on May 27, 2016, the Planning Commission, on June 24, 2016, recommended adoption of the North End District 6 Plan as an addendum to the Saint Paul Comprehensive Plan, and forwarded its recommendation to the Mayor and City Council; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that The North End-South Como District 6 Plan is decertified and that the City Council hereby adopts the North End District 6 Plan as an addendum to the Saint Paul Comprehensive Plan, contingent upon its review by the Metropolitan Council and affected jurisdictions as required by Minnesota law.
