Authorizing the Fire Department to accept the donation of a thermal image camera and a flight helmet from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.

WHEREAS, the Fire Department received a grant of $9,468.75 from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation for a thermal image camera and a flight helmet, and
WHEREAS, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation offered to purchase the equipment and donate them to the Fire Department, and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of this donation is to provide the Fire Department with an additional flight helmet for a Minnesota Aviation Rescue Team (MART) team member and an additional thermal image camera to assist in search and rescue efforts, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council, on behalf of the residents of Saint Paul, accept this donation of a thermal image camera and a flight helmet from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation and extend their sincere appreciation to this organization.
