Authorizing the transfer of budgeted funds supporting the Sprockets out-of-school-time network from the Parks and Recreation Department to the Saint Paul Public Library Agency to recognize alignment and use of Sprocket services with Library programs.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul (the "City") is committed to improving the educational opportunities of all children and youth in Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, Sprockets, Saint Paul’s out-of-school-time network, is committed to improving access to out-of-school-time programs for youth in Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Director of Parks and Recreation and the Director of Saint Paul Public Library that the administration of Sprockets should be transferred from Parks and Recreation to the Library to recognize alignment and use of Sprocket services with Library programs; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.4 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are funds available for transfer of funds from Parks and Recreation to the Library Agency; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the Saint Paul Public Library Board, upon recommendation of the Mayor, that the appropriations of general fund and grants supported funds for Sprockets are transferred from Parks and Recreation to the Library Agency, as shown in the attached financial analysis.
