Ratifying the assessment for the improvements on Randolph Avenue from Brimhall to Syndicate. (File No. 19172, Assessment No. 155400)

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council in Council File RES 16-989 accepted the Report of Completion for the assessment of benefits, cost and expenses for constructing new bituminous surfaced street with concrete curb and gutter, concrete driveway aprons and outwalks, and boulevard landscaping with sod and trees.  The existing wood pole lights were replaced with new lantern style street lighting systems. New traffic signals were constructed at Hamline and Albert. 

 

Also as part of the project, special attention was paid to bring the existing pedestrian ramps up to current ADA standards, with 2 separate ramps in line with the sidewalk in both directions, and with a truncated dome surface.

 

This was a Ramsey County project and was designed by them and they performed the construction administration.  The majority of the project was also funded by Ramsey County; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on August 3, 2016 to consider ratification of the assessment roll; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council considered and found satisfactory the assessment of benefits, costs and expenses for the construction work; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the said assessment is hereby in all respects ratified.

 

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the assessment be made payable in twenty (20) equal installments.
