Comments: Initial inspection took place on 4/29/214; a CN was not sent to owner until 6/20/14. Property was re-inspected on 11/26/14 and an extension was granted to 5/1/15. Property was re-inspected on 10/26/15 and EC was issued for non-compliance. Property was re-inspected on 12/9/15 and another EC was issued for non-compliance. Owner contacted the inspector and was granted an extension to 5/1/16 to repair the retaining wall.

WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with Excessive Inspection/Abatement services billed during October 22 to November 20, 2015. (File No. J1607E, Assessment No. 168308) and the assessment roll including all properties for which these assessments are proposed for Council ratification; and
WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an appeal of this assessment and developed a recommendation for the City Council with respect to this assessment; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing having been conducted for the above improvement, and said assessment having been further considered by the Council and having been considered financially satisfactory; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that pursuant to Chapter 14 of the Saint Paul City Charter, said assessment is hereby deleted as long as the debris from the wall is cleaned up; an extension is given until June 30, 2016 to replace the wall.
