Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to use grant funds dedicated to Sprockets and Sprockets-sponsored projects for required out of town travel for non-city Sprockets employees up to an amount of $15,000.
Body
WHEREAS, the Sprockets Network supports out-of-school program providers in Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, Sprockets is partially grant-funded by both local and national funders which require cross-site meeting attendance and out of town travel to various conferences and gatherings; and
WHEREAS, Sprockets staff required to attend such meetings are not all City employees; and
WHEREAS, grant funds are available to reimburse out-of-town travel expenses for non-city staff required to attend such conferences, and
WHEREAS, failing to comply with grant requirements would result in the loss of funding; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that permission is granted to the Parks and Recreation Department to use grant funds dedicated to Sprockets and Sprockets-sponsored projects for required out of town travel for non-city Sprockets employees up to an amount of $15,000.
