Title

Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation, on behalf of Right Track, to accept the donations of up to $3500 from Comcast, Ecolab, Travelers, Xcel Energy, and U.S. Bank to support the 2016 Right Track employer breakfast, and thanking each of them for the generous gifts. 

 

Body

WHEREAS,  the Right Track program offers internship opportunities to youth through partnerships with local businesses, giving the youth participants valuable experience and job preparedness skills; and

WHEREAS, the program has been so successful that the City wants to increase the number of companies participating; and

WHEREAS, the City intends to host a breakfast meeting breakfast for employers and supervisors who have pledged to hire Right Track interns this summer as well as 

prospective employers or people who might be interested in hiring Right Track interns but would like more information; and

 

WHEREAS, Comcast, Ecolab, Travelers, Xcel Energy and U.S. Bank have offered donations to support the Right Track employer breakfast, to create marketing materials for the Right Track breakfast to be sent to current and prospective Right Track employers and pay for event supplies, and to create new marketing content and materials to promote Right Track to the community; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, the Council of the City of Saint Paul accepts the donations of up to $3500 from Ecolab, Travelers, Xcel Energy and U.S. Bank to support the 2016 Right Track employer breakfast, and thanks each of them for the generous gift.
