Authorizing the Police Department to enter into an agreement with the Minnesota National Guard for them to provide counterdrug support.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department (SPPD) wishes to enter into an agreement with the Minnesota National Guard; and
WHEREAS, this agreement sets forth the policies and procedures by which the National Guard will provide counterdrug support to the SPPD as authorized by applicable state and federal law and regulations; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the council approves entering into and authorizes Chief Thomas Smith to implement the agreement in a form and content substantially as set forth in the attached the Minnesota National Guard.
