Waiving the Neighborhood STAR guidelines to increase the acquisition and soft cost limit to 30% and extend the contract to March 31, 2017 for the Million Will Make It Happen on East 7th Street program.

WHEREAS, the Dayton's Bluff Community Council (DBCC) received a $500,000 STAR award in 2012 for the Million Will Make It Happen on East 7th Street program; and
WHEREAS, the program has been successful in generating multiple capital improvements allowing for business expansions, new business development, and increased business growth activities; and
WHEREAS, the DBCC has requested a waiver of the Neighborhood STAR guidelines to increase the percentage of the award used for acquisition and soft costs to 30%, and to extend the contract to March 31, 2017; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council waives the Neighborhood STAR guidelines to increase the acquisition and soft cost limit to 30% and extend the contract to March 31, 2017 for the Million Will Make It Happen On East 7th Street program.
