Amending Chapter 99 of the Administrative Code pertaining to the availability of the Palace Theatre for Saint Paul high school musical or theatrical events.

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1
Chapter 99 of the Administrative Code is hereby enacted to read as follows:
Chapter 99. - Lowertown Regional Ballpark and Palace Theatre
Sec. 99.01. - High school league Lowertown Regional Ballpark.
Any contracted operator of the Saint Paul Lowertown Regional Ballpark must make the facility available for use by for at least one (1) varsity baseball, one (1) varsity softball, and one (1) adaptive softball game, for each high school located within the city, per year, without fee or charge to the city, school district or the individual schools.
Sec. 99.02. - Palace Theatre
Any contracted operator of the Palace Theatre shall make the facility available for use by each high school located within the City of Saint Paul for at least one (1) musical or theatrical event per school year, without rental fee or similar charge to the City, the HRA, the School District or the individual high schools. The operator may charge the individual high school for the reasonable and necessary out-of-pocket operating expenses for such use. The high school shall receive all revenues, subject to applicable taxes, from any ticket sales from such use.
SECTION 2
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days following its passage, approval and publication.
