Approving a grant from The Saint Paul Foundation to the City of Saint Paul to hold three community conversations around PCIARC audit.
Body
WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Foundation has awarded a grant from the President’s Discretionary Grant Fund in the amount of $20,000 to the City of Saint Paul to organize and hold three community conversations at locations to be determined by the Saint Paul City Attorney's Office and Deputy Mayor; and
WHEREAS, community conversations will utilize a circle dialogue model, with the goal of eliciting the community’s feedback about how to tangibly improve the Police Civilian Internal Affairs Review Commission process and police-community relations; and
WHEREAS, feedback from the conversations will be consolidated into a report to the City of Saint Paul Mayor’s Office; and
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, accepts The Saint Paul Foundation grant, and hereby approves changes to the 2015 budget as defined in the attached financial analysis.
