Purpose of Appeal: section 604, MSFC 1001.5, SPLC 34. 14(2)D. SPLC 34.4 (5) B- Provide and maintain illumination in all portions of the exit system. ( I think that we should not be required to install on 3 floors additional emergency lights on the end of the hall between the fire doors and the stairway door. The property was built this way in 1963 and no one has required these extra lights. I think we should be "Grandfathered in".

WHEREAS, in the matter the Appeal of Penelope A. Brown to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Correction Notice at 1391 HAZELWOOD STREET, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant the appeal if battery pack lighting is used as a compliance measure for the back part of the building on all floors and this must be completed by January 1, 2016; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
