Approving adverse action against the Taxicab Driver license held by Isaac B. Boateng.

WHEREAS, the Taxicab Driver license held by Isaac B. Boateng (License ID #20130004879) for the City of Saint Paul was the subject of a Notice of Intent to Revoke License dated September 15, 2015, stating the Department of Safety and Inspections received a Notice of License Revocation for debt from the Minnesota Department of Revenue indicating the licensee had an overdue debt; and
WHEREAS, under Minnesota state law, the licensee’s taxicab license must be revoked until the overdue debt is resolved and the Department of Safety and Inspections receives a Clearance Certificate from the Department of Revenue; and
WHEREAS, based on this information, the licensing office recommended license revocation and;
WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Revoke License was sent to both the licensee’s last known address and an alternate address on file and both letters were returned by the U.S. Postal Service; and
WHEREAS, DSI has not received a Clearance Certificate from the Department of Revenue; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Revoke License stated that if the licensee failed to respond to request a public or administrative hearing by September 25, 2015, that the matter would be placed on the consent agenda to impose the recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Taxicab Driver license held by Isaac B. Boateng is hereby revoked.
