Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $38,571.45 for a contribution received from the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education to pay for training for firefighters.
Body
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education (MBFTE) has awarded a contribution of $38,571.45 to the Saint Paul Fire Department to reimburse costs associated with firefighter training; and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of this contribution is to pay for training for firefighters; and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the contribution received; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $38,571.45 in excess of those estimated in the 2015 budget, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the additions as specified in the Attachment - "MBFTE Financial Analysis $38,571.45" be made to the 2015 budget;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council, on behalf of the residents of Saint Paul, accept this contribution of $38,571.45 from the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education, extend their sincere appreciation to this organization, and approve the changes to the 2015 budget.
