Accepting the gift of the costs of registration and travel expenses from Socrata for Chief Budget Analyst John McCarthy to attend the 2015 Socrata Customer Summit conference to be held in Washington D.C., October 26 - 28, 2015.

WHEREAS, Socrata has invited Chief Budget Analyst John McCarthy to attend the Socrata Customer Summit Conference, a civic technology conference lecture series, on October 26 - 28, 2015; and
WHEREAS, John McCarthy will have the opportunity to learn and gain new insights on performance management, data driven decision making, and financial transparency; and
WHEREAS, the organization has offered to pay for the costs of registration and travel expenses to the conference; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul find that attendance at the conference will be beneficial to the City in developing and implementing future technologies within the City; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the gift of the cost of registration and travel expenses to the Socrata Customer Summit Conference, and thanks Socrata for its generous gift.
