WHEREAS, Anne Hunt, Environmental Policy Director, has been invited to speak at the Great Lakes Climate Adaptation Network meeting to be held in Ann Arbor, Michigan, September 30 - October 2, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Anne Hunt will present to attendees on the city’s climate resiliency planning and collaborations with community partners to reduce greenhouse gases; and
WHEREAS, the University of Michigan and the George Gund Foundation have offered to pay up to $700 towards the cost of her travel, food and lodging expenses; and
WHEREAS, attendance at the meeting will not only showcase the work being done in Saint Paul on sustainability but will offer an opportunity to hear experiences from other communities; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts the offer of reimbursement of travel, food and lodging expenses up to $700 for Anne Hunt to attend the meeting, and thanks the University of Michigan and the George Gund Foundation for its generous gift.
